Welcome to circa 2009!The greatest democracy of world is being perforated with new tunes everyday these days with debutantes as well veterans standing up for their mime acts on these tunes,Maybe that's what they say dance of democracy.India goes to its 15th general elections this april.Democracy etymologically finds its root in greek word "demos" meaning people and "cracy" meaning rule .Am I sounding right?Maybe i think we need to further redefine this term in wake of its understanding in the greatest democracy of world.Democracy in this nation corresponds to many a meanings depending upon demography,geography and yes all the KIshores and Rafis.Democracy in this nation means beating up girls by some self-proclaimed religious fundamentalists,parochialism in the name of caste,creed,region,sex and also family,reservation for certain maybe born with wrong title,vandalism against any individual,celebration which any freak in this nation feels can do a harm to collective,specail status to certain state in far north,rape,destruction and violence of any degree against anyone and evryone in the name of whatever,Blah blah blah........The provoking issue is not this wide spread debauchery of society but why when we adopted a system of society's will,we matured into such society.Who is at the fault?The society,the system or the individual.The most expected answer will be individual citing the growing indecency,dishonesy,corruptness and pervertness among them because of greed to achieve more.The urge to excel has died many deaths by the hands of parasites throughout civillazation but then it's not today's topic of discussion but it's democracy.Of all the things the greatest harm has been done by the term democarcy and the great American president Mr Abraham Lincoln.From his dias,Lincoln equivocated "Democracy is government by the people,of the people and for the people'.Here lays the epistemologically roots for the demoralization of a democartic system.A discussion triggered this 'eureka'in me,when i asked two of my accomplice that isn't this Government their's too,they replied in negative as the party they voted for lost the election.I realized how once again the absence of a well defined etymological base has eluded society from a rational evolution.The absence of a definite philosphical realms has allowed the sytem to held collectively each individual as responsible for any fallacies whereas the guilty is just as much responsible as everyone in the society.Democracy in true sense was always a Government of the majority and not of every person ,as it has been presumed till now.The repurcussions of this pretense is to be felt magnimonoiusly in the evolution of our society.A government of the majority is destined to work for establishment of majority biased for them.A government of majority is destined to work for polarization,communalism and ghettosition.In true sense Democracy is a government of the majority,by the power moghuls and for the stakeholders of the power moghul.Of all the institution that was evolved,democracy is unparalled to create a civillazation habituated of being ruled because it keeps people in illusion of being the ruler,being the profiteers and being Independent.Democracy makes one unliable to revolt because Every Government Action in Democracy isn't be for evrone's good but is for someone's good.The "someone' has always remained elusive to everyone.Anywayz of all those Institution, Fascism,Nazism,Anarchism,oligarachism,Monarchy,Democracy has been grafted so eclectically to achieve its motive that it has become omnipresent today without being revealed of its ulterior motive.Hail Democray but today suddenly i am feeling like "independent on sunday"
