kill Bill

I know this disclaimer may sound disparaging to all those who might be expecting a serenading expatriation from Qentin Tarantino 's blood spattering cinemascape , But then this article has nothing to do with any lure and muse of some soul beliving in aestheticization of violence(this term plagiarized from wiki). Quite ironically, this article is about a soul , who in futue may be applauded as one of the most nobler souls Indian polity saw, He's none other than Kapil Sibal, Our HRD minister. He introduced into parliament his historic bill of Including 'Right to Education' in Indian constitution's fundamental rights. The Nation sees this as a Armstrong leap in Indian's Conquests towards growth and development. Without any doubt , on paper , it really gives you this whimsical feeling that , It will absolutely facilitate a more glorious Sun over our head. But then if whims could have decided the future of our civilization , I assure you the world has seen umpteen number of whimsicals, devillishly crazy then Our Honorable Minister who at the End just were buried in the debris of History . So , I think it's time we a take a little time to see what the bill reflects. Let the story with teh most fundamental thing in that bill, i.e, Right.
Our Constitution has given us six Fundamental rights:
1). Right to equality
2).Right to freedom
3).Right against exploitation
4).Right to freedom of religion
5). Cultural and educational rights
6).Right to constitutional remedies
What are Rights? According to NCERT book for STD. VII, "Colonoal rule had created a certain suscpicion of teh state in the minds of of Nationlists and they wanted to ensure a set of written rights would guard against the misuse of state power in independent India. Fundamental rights , therefore , protect citizen against teh arbitrary and absolute exercise of power by the state. the constitution, thus, guarantees teh rights of individuals gainst the state as well as against other individuals."
I really think now, it's merely a formality to explain how perfectly all the above six satsifies that definition and Our honorary Minister's bill simply defies. The first thing , which gets reflected from this definition is that the rights were never supposed to serve as Guidelines for government to be prerogative in Individual's growth culminating in society's growth . On the other hand, the rights were designed to serve individuals if Government tries to be prerogative in deciding his free will. There lies the gist of story . With this bill that's what our honorary minister expects to achieve. Our minister and the citizens of this Nation or any Nation need to come out from this fanciful thought-process of such a Government , because any such Government will be a Totalitarian. Rights are meant for Indiuviduals to have their own liberty to take decision according to their won free will and yes Government is supposed to maintain the environment . Any attempt by the Government, even in the name of a Better future will simply be curbing Libertarian thought process in longer run and hence turning into a Totalitarian one, and i think that spells different from democracy. A independent Nation should strive to maintain an environment where if he a individual wishes not to study , then this should lie only on his own discretion. This sometimes proves a befuddling question for most of the human beings who can't imagine someone dejcting education . But then the issue is not about dejecting education , but establishing a environmnet where everyone has right to say yes as well as no. This is what democracy is all about . Have you ever thought of a democracy where its citizen doesn't have right to say No? Try thinking it. It would have been really more worthful , if either our Honorary minister should have gone through those pages of NCERT book or being a minister should have changed the definition there.
Now looking little bit inside education, Oscar wilde quit said "Education is an admirable thing, but it is well to remember from time to time that nothing that is worth knowing can be taught" i think if would have been around , he must have been sentenced for a rigorous punishment for such offending bytes. yet , i will go ahead and sum up one of the most important thing about education , Education is not an end but a means, and its academic version is just one of its version, quite truly most prominent and rampant . As a Individual , we should be striving towards end and not means and that can only culminate in the growth of Nation. A nation or any organization needs a productive individuals who achieve ends and not means, which we might be overlooking.
I know there are other detractors of bill who will question about the economic viablity of such a bill. But then , I think this bill doen't stands upto the fundamental meanings of rights , which is being propagandized as Fundamental rights.
I think i will go to watch Tarantino's kill bill , because who knows tommorrow who will have to take the gun like "The bride".
